The Springfield High School Future Business Leaders of America recently competed in the Region 19 Leadership Conference (RLC). Before the conference, members choose one of over 80 business and technology-related competitive events in which they could compete through online objective tests, oral presentations, or prejudged projects. After a week of virtual competition, students attended the FBLA Regional Leadership Conference at Widener University. Students were able to network with 150 students from around the region. Students were also able to sit in on workshops on Cryptocurrency, Entrepreneurship, and Personal Branding, moderated by Widener Professors. On December 16th, our members participated in the virtual award ceremony for the Regional Competition. Springfield had its best performance to date, as we had 29 students qualify for the State Leadership Competition. Moving forward, students will continue their preparation to compete in the State Leadership Conference (SLC) this spring. After the State Conference, any competitors who place in the top 4 in their event will continue to the National Leadership Conference (NLC) in Chicago.
