2023-2024 Sabold Principal Announced
Hello, Sabold families!
I am incredibly honored and excited to serve our community as Principal of Sabold Elementary School for the 2023-2024 school year. Springfield School District has been a second home to me for the entirety of my career in education. In 2007, I was hired as a teacher at Scenic Hills and later moved to Sabold Elementary, teaching grades 2-5 at both schools. I also worked with elementary students with special needs and their families during my time as the Supervisor of Special Education. For the past six years, I have been an Assistant Principal at Springfield High School where I have been fortunate to work with many of the students I once taught, as they complete their educational journey with us and go on to post-secondary endeavors. Each of these experiences has uniquely reinforced for me the power and importance of the work we do with our young students.
Working with children has been a passion of mine from a young age, and that passion quickly developed into a love for teaching and learning. In 2007, I graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education, and, later, I earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Cabrini College and an Administrative and Supervisory Certificate from Immaculata University. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, my family moved to the Philadelphia area in 1996. I currently live in Bucks County with my wife Erin and our three children, Vivienne, Frankie, and Lucie. Together, we enjoy all things outdoors - camping, hiking, exploring, and fishing. In my free time, I like to coach youth sports, especially baseball. Fall is my favorite season; there is nothing more relaxing for me than gathering around the fire pit with family and friends while listening to the Phillies on the radio. Fall also brings the excitement of a new school year and the beginning of our journey together.
I am eager to connect with you soon at our Sabold Meet and Greet in May, and I look forward to partnering with you to provide our students the greatest experience at the greatest school on earth!
Sincerely,
Anthony Simek
