The decision was simple for Bruce Lord, Jr. to run for the Springfield School Board. He wanted to give back to the Springfield community and try to better represent the residents. Since being elected in December 2013, Mr. Lord has done just that.
A lifelong resident of Springfield, Mr. Lord graduated from Springfield High School in 1981. He would go on to send both of his sons to Springfield schools from kindergarten to twelfth grade, with one son graduating in 2011 and the other in 2013. His daughter also went to Springfield through 8th grade before graduating from Agnes Irwin in 2013.
Mr. Lord studied finance at Delaware County Community College and Saint Joseph’s University. He is currently the Chair of Personnel Committee and a member of the Communication Committee, as well the the School Board representative for Delaware County Community College (DCCC).
When he isn’t working as a financial advisor, you can find Mr. Lord enjoying a meal at Tavola Restaurant + Bar or enjoying a delicious roast beef sandwich at Nick’s Old Original Roast Beef. As much as Mr. Lord enjoys Springfield, he also loves to spend his free time in Ocean City, New Jersey with his family.
Mr. Lord is honored to represent the Springfield community and will continue to do so the best that he can. As a school board member, he knows his job is to provide the best education for our students while being fiscally responsible for the Springfield and Morton taxpayers.
