Steve Stefani Dance Marathon 5K
Steve Stefani Dance Marathon 5K

On Oct 17, 2021, 213 students and community members participated in the 6th annual FTK 5k with the goal of raising money for Springfield High School's Steve Stefani Dance Marathon. With the help of over 30 volunteer chaperones and the SSDM Leadership Team, the event raised $8,451. The route of the race weaved through the neighborhood surrounding the high school beginning and concluding at the high school track. Seven teams competed against each other to raise the most money and complete the race before the other teams. These groups included the Boys Lacrosse Team, Girls Soccer Team, Girls Cross Country Team, Girls Field Hockey Team, Boys Soccer Team, and the Girls Tennis Team. The Girls Soccer Team raised more than any other team pulling in $850. Adam Henry got the win in the boys field, and Sarah Emch and Anastacia Milana got the win in the girls field. Our two top individual fundraisers were Erin McBride and Mara Fallon each raising $150. Be sure to keep an eye out for information regarding SSDM's next event, the Powder Puff Football Game on November 22nd at 6:30 p.m.
