SHS Graphic Arts students help design new SSD logo

In the upcoming months, you will be hearing exciting details about the Springfield School District's rebranding effort to launch Fall, 2020. With the opening of the state of the art high school facility, Springfield School District wanted to develop a brand that encompasses what we do well here at SSD.

Reflecting what is anchored in our core business, relevant to our students and community, and timeless in its appeal, SSD administration wanted to showcase the areas in which our students excel. This led to identifying four pillars, or points of pride, that we feel makes Springfield School District unique: Academics, Athletics, Arts and Service.

Springfield School District is home to many talented and creative students, so the invitation went out to SHS Graphic Arts students to help design a new logo.  Students were able to submit a logo based on SSD's four pillars. Student designs have been submitted, and students have met with SSD administration to review their logos and the selection process. The process will include mentoring from a professional graphic artist and a final review by the SSD Communications Committee.

We are proud of all of our students and their hard work. More updates will be coming in September, 2019.  #PrideInAllThings
