Are you looking for a wonderful place to start your child's first experience with school? Do you want your three or four year old to interact with other children in a safe, fun way? Learn new concepts and ideas as well as the basics through imaginative, stimulating lessons? Try their hand doing creative, group or individual projects? And all the while being taught in an atmosphere where the teacher/child ratio is one to two? Well maybe RAINBOW JUNCTION is just what you are looking for!
Springfield High School's Rainbow Junction Nursery School is currently accepting applications for the several remaining spots in our 2019 session. Rainbow Junction is a four day per week preschool taught by the Child Development classes held at the high school. The preschool meets Tuesday through Friday from 9:30am – noon, March through June for approximately thirteen weeks. Recognizing that this is one of a child's first school experiences, Rainbow Junction addresses the total development of the child through free play, organized lessons/activities and learning centers.
Children must currently be toilet trained, be between the ages of three and four years old by March 1, 2019 (& not turn five before the end of the school year in June) and be residents of the Springfield/Morton school district in order to be eligible. The cost of the entire program is $125 per child to be paid at the initial parent meeting (in February).
Applications are being be taken now through the end of January. Students (who meet all of the criteria) will be accepted first come, first served. A waiting list will be kept. Parents will be notified within a week of application.
Applications can be found on Ms Snyder's page on the Springfield School District website https://sites.google.com/ssdstudent.org/snyder/rainbow-junction (make a copy of the pdf, fill it out and forward it to Ruth.Snyder@ssdcougars.org).
