ETR Students Give Back at 8th Annual Brunner Bash
ETR Students Give Back at 8th Annual Brunner Bash

The bash must go and that is exactly what the Eighth Annual Brunner Bash just did in spite of facing numerous weather obstacles and power outages. Despite being postponed one day due to a Nor'easter, the Brunner Bash had a great turnout thanks to the drive of E.T. Richardson students.

The student body and teachers united as a community to raise over $57,000 in honor of Mr. Glen Brunner, a long-time teacher at Sabold Elementary School who passed away on May 5, 2010 after a yearlong battle with cancer. The ETR community banded together to exceed last year's total by at least $10,000. The money raised will be donated to a variety of charitable groups including The Four Diamonds Fund at the Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital, Springfield Area Educational Foundation (SAEF) to assist affected families in the Springfield/Morton community, and the Glenn Brunner Scholarship Fund in memory of Mr. Brunner.

The Brunner Bash, which is held each year to honor the memory of Mr. Brunner, showcases the student body's determination to help others and to become involved in ETR. Students enjoyed a variety of student activities such as moon bounces, games, black-light dancing, a game truck and dodgeball.
