Welcome to Room 18

Dear Boys and Girls, and Parents,

Welcome to 4th grade!! We are going to have a wonderful year! Fourth grade is full of fun and exciting activities like Fourth Grade Midnight Madness, Winter and Spring Concerts, big field trips, Art Shows, and many more special activities.

There is a lot to learn in Fourth Grade too. In reading we will read some terrific stories from our core texts, as well as really cool stories that I will read aloud to the class. I hope you have been reading!!

Math is full of new concepts. By the end of the year you will be doing Algebra, Statistics, Geometry, Area, Volume, Probability, Multiplication of large numbers, and, of course, everyone's favorite........Long Division!!

Science and Social Studies are exciting also. We explore Pennsylvania in depth. Science is a "hands on" subject which everyone loves. We study the scientific method, variables, electricity, and ecosystems.
