Destiny Online Catalog

Our District online catalog (Destiny) is searchable from home or school. Click on the link above to get to the welcome page where you will be able to choose which school's catalog you wish to access.


Access PA Power Library

A collection of online databases designed to meet the research needs of all students, K-12. You can access these from school by clicking on the link above. Home access for the Access PA POWER Library is available through the Delaware County Library System: http://www.delcolibraries.org. Your barcode number from your library card is your password into the system.


Access Pennsylvania Database

This catalog gives you access to materials in almost any library in the state of Pennsylvania. Click on "Search the Database" to look for items. If you find something you would like to borrow, you can contact the Springfield High School LMC or the Springfield Township Library to arrange for an inter-library loan.


CultureGrams

A complete reference on world cultures. Each country’s report contains information on 25 categories, including history, language, greetings, gestures, family, housing, diet, economy, and more. Check out the special features on the toolbar, or go directly to the list of accessible countries.

World Book Online

World Book Online offers a diverse suite of learning sites for every age, ability, and interest to suit the needs of all students. The World Book web site offers an encyclopedia, dictionary, atlas, homework help, study aids, and curriculum guides.

FactCite

A comprehensive online database with thousands of searchable full-text articles and printable illustrations. FactCite is divided into five subject areas: American History, Biographies, Sports, Greek and Roman Mythology, and the Lincoln Library of Essential Information.

Galenet Databases

The Galenet Databases are a collection of materials from a variety of sources: magazines, books, reference materials, newspapers, almanacs, media files, etc. that will aid you in your research. A basic search will bring up all the resources from the Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center, Student Resource Center and the Gale Virtual Reference Library, or you can search each database separately.

JSTOR

JSTOR provides access to the highest-quality academic journals, books, and primary sources in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. This is a university-level resource that our district has made available to all teachers and students. Please use it as a resource and have your students log in to pursue their intellectual interests. You will need a username and password to login to JSTOR.

Delaware County Library System

This is the main page of the Delaware County Library System. You can search the catalogs of all libraries in Delaware County, as well as use the Access PA POWER Library link from home.

This program from the Delaware County Library System can be accessed in any library in the system. For Home access, click on the link above. You will be prompted to enter the name and barcode from your library card.

Ask Here PA is a free service provided by the PA State Library. Live answers to your questions, 24 hours a day. Chat online live with a librarian who will provide an answer online in 15 minutes or less! If your question involves lengthy research, they will get you started and/or provide a referral for you or your question and/or offer to do additional research and follow-up with you via e-mail.
